It is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assert the rights of its members and to defend their interests.

It brings together more than 883 Quebec dealers with a manufacturer’s franchise for the sale of new vehicles (light-duty vehicles and heavy trucks). It represents 98% of Quebec dealers.

Clé Verte Certification and Workshops

It is a voluntary environmental certification program that recognizes automotive service shops committed to sustainable and responsible practices.This certification ensures that participating workshops:

• Respect the environment and comply with all laws and regulations in force;
• Apply sound environmental practices in their daily operations;
• Ensure the safety of their customers and employees;
• Maintain their equipment properly and efficiently;
• Continuously train their teams to strengthen their environmental expertise.

Mandated for the Verification of Road Vehicles by the SAAQ

Agents are companies that are responsible for carrying out mechanical checks on road vehicles for the SAAQ.

Principal tasks of the representatives:

Photometric verification of tinted windows of vehicles.

Periodic mechanical inspection (every 6 or 12 months) of :

• heavy vehicles
• vehicles weighing less than 4,500 kg: buses and minibuses, taxis, emergency vehicles, driving school vehicles.

Punctual mechanical inspection of vehicles :

• transformed or modified
• home-made
• rebuilt
• to cancel after 12 months
• who come from outside Québec and who are the subject of an application for registration in Québec.

Issuance of mechanical verification certificates.

Issuance of compliance stickers.

PIEVAL agent of the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development

The purpose of the Heavy Automotive Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program (PIEVAL) is to improve air quality, particularly in urban areas by reducing particulate matter, volatile organic compound (VOC) and particulate matter emissions carbon monoxide (CO) produced by heavy vehicles.

It also plays a significant role in the fight against climate change since the proper maintenance of vehicles also reduces their fuel consumption, and therefore their greenhouse gas emissions.
